If you have Internet access, you can enter any Tram 4, put your headphones on and press (shortly before departure) your station in the right direction. Yes, it is so simple… ENJOY!

Due to the kids improvising while recording, some texts (mainly between Hauptbahnhof and Bellevue) are in Swiss German only and not translated. We are sorry about that – but think: what a great possibility to get in contact with the person sitting next to you in the tram. Share an earplug and get a simultaneous translation straight away! And who knows, maybe a new friend as well… And do not panic! If the travelling times vary (which happens all the time through uncertainty of schedules) simply press start at the next station again to catch up.

All Ears in Tram Number 4 is an art project which was created with children for the Manifesta 11 Parallel Events (http://www.m11parallelevents.ch)

We travel along the Tram line number 4, from Altstetten to Seefeld and back, past shops, cafes and the venues of the Biennial Manifesta 11. What hides behind the passing shop windows? Who are the people that work there and what are their stories? Following the theme of the Manifesta what people do for money, local eleven and twelve year old school kids unearthed their neighbourhood, hunting for stories to discover. They developed their own city guide and invented music that they recorded with the band Tim & Puma Mimi.

For the opening of the Biennial on June 11th, 2016 an old tram from the 50s rode along the line between Altstetten and Tiefenbrunnen and our audio guide was played over the speakers.

We develop projects for and with children and adolescents. We mainly work with film but occasional ventures into theatre and the visual arts do happen...

Courageous dreams, playful inventions and thorough examinations guide us. We aim to inspire, be inspired, move boundaries and turn things upside down - with and for a young audience.
